Notes

The 1920’s was a period of incredible change, with flourishing wealth and high demand for the latest innovations for the modern family and of course, the modern gentleman. At last, a man could adorn himself with lavish items to truly boast his new found affluence. One such item would be the timepiece, here seen with an interesting mother of pearl dial. Several companies were taking advantage of the latest trends in horology for watches and pocket watches composed of precious stones.
This fine pocket watch also sets itself apart from others as it features a chronometer movement: a movement tested independently by COSC; Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute, responsible for certifying the accuracy and precision of timepieces in Switzerland.
